PRESCRIPTION AND MEDICAL DEVICE POLICY ♡

At Loumirage, we are committed to operating in compliance with applicable medical device regulations in the jurisdictions where our products are sold.

1. Product Classification

Loumirage coloured contact lenses may be classified as medical devices in many countries. Our lenses are:

  • CE-certified in accordance with applicable EU regulations
  • Manufactured in South Korea
  • Produced in ISO 13485 and ISO 9001 certified facilities
  • Manufactured under GMP standards

We act as a distributor of certified contact lenses.

2. Cosmetic (Plano) Lenses

Non-prescription (0.00 / plano) cosmetic lenses are intended for aesthetic purposes only.

Even if lenses are cosmetic, contact lenses may still be regulated as medical devices in certain jurisdictions. Customers are responsible for ensuring that the purchase and use of cosmetic lenses is permitted under their local laws.

3. Prescription (Dioptric) Lenses

Where prescription lenses are offered, by placing an order you confirm that:

  • You have a valid, current prescription issued by a licensed optometrist or ophthalmologist.
  • The prescription information selected for purchase matches your prescription.
  • You are legally permitted to purchase prescription contact lenses in your country of residence.

All orders containing prescription lenses are subject to manual review prior to fulfilment.

Where required by applicable local law, we request a copy of the customer’s valid prescription before shipment. Orders remain on hold until verification is completed. If a valid prescription is not provided, the order will be cancelled and refunded in full.

4. Customer Responsibility

Customers are responsible for:

  • Consulting a qualified eye-care professional before wearing contact lenses
  • Following safe lens-wear and hygiene practices
  • Ensuring lenses may be legally purchased and imported into their country

We reserve the right to refuse, restrict, cancel, or refund orders where required by regulatory obligations.

5. International Compliance

Loumirage sells products internationally. Laws regarding contact lenses vary by country.

By placing an order, you acknowledge that you are responsible for ensuring compliance with the laws of your jurisdiction.

We reserve the right to restrict shipment of prescription lenses to jurisdictions where additional regulatory requirements apply.
